Americorps VIP Fellow
VIP Fellows will increase the number of high-value (skilled and corporate) volunteers providing needed services to nonprofit and educational organizations that serve children, youth and families. Additionally, VIP Fellows will build capacity within the Partner Site volunteer program to provide the support, skills and resources volunteers need to be successful.
VIP Fellows work as a part of a team to coordinate volunteer programs and to coach and support a cadre of high-value volunteers. The VIP Fellows’ primary role is developing the volunteer program at the Partner Site, bringing resources of highly-skilled volunteers to the children and families the program serves. VIP Fellows spend time in the community, building partnerships, and forging lasting relationships. This position is a valuable opportunity to develop and apply your leadership and community organizing skills to make a lasting difference in the lives of children, youth, their families, and the local community.
AmeriCorps VIP Statewide Leader
The Statewide VIP Leader will support AmeriCorps members in increasing the number of volunteers providing needed services to children, youth and families who face economic hardship in the community. Additionally, the Statewide VIP Leader will build capacity within the local and statewide volunteer program to provide the support, skills and resources volunteers need to be successful.
As the Statewide VIP Leader, you will be part of a team working jointly to coordinate programs and to coach and support a cadre of VIP Fellows placed at Partner Sites throughout the state. Your primary role will be to support the statewide members in developing their volunteer programs. In this role, you will spend time in the community, building partnerships, and forging lasting relationships. As the VIP Statewide Leader, you will also be responsible for coaching and mentoring VIP Fellows at the Partner Sites. Some examples of this might include: conducting monthly statewide calls, making weekly calls with local VIP Leaders and Fellows to discuss successes and challenges, and helping to organize and plan trainings and community service events. Previous AmeriCorps experience is strongly preferred.
